After conquering the spare parts market Jim decided that karts were too dear and set about copying the the current favourite - Zip. Dart Karts were made by another fabrictor nearby and soon became very successful.

Later on, wanting to enter the International market the manufacturing was brought in-house and the first CIK homologated models marked the birth of Solo chassis. By 1995 Solo had won the Junior World Championship.
